Wydewood Residence
Kitchen Remodel | Midland, Texas
The Wydewood residence involved a custom kitchen renovation designed to introduce stronger color, improved storage, and a more personal connection between the kitchen and the homeowner’s style.
The cabinetry was finished in a custom green blend developed from two Sherwin-Williams colors and protected with a semi-gloss Emerald Urethane finish. The deeper cabinetry color was paired with white quartz countertops and a vintage-style white range to create contrast while maintaining a warm, established character.
Vintage-inspired hardware was selected by the homeowner to reinforce the traditional details and provide a more distinctive finish than standard cabinet hardware.
Custom hardwood floating shelves were installed near a source of natural light to provide open display space for the homeowner’s plant collection and frequently used kitchen pieces. Their placement adds function without visually closing in the room.
The project also included cabinetry installation, countertops, backsplash, lighting and plumbing coordination, appliance integration, finish carpentry, painting, and final detailing.
The completed kitchen combines custom color, durable finishes, practical storage, and carefully selected details within a space designed around the homeowner’s daily use.
